Faculty Overview

Symbols: The Kassalong flower, or Indian cork tree flower, is the faculty symbol of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Khon Kaen University. The tree is perennial and its white, trumpet-shaped flowers bloom in clusters from November to May. The flower was chosen as the faculty emblem due to its abundance in the area and its symbolism; the clustering of the flowers represents unity and their white color signifies purity. White is also the faculty color, symbolizing sincerity, integrity and noble aspirations.
