On 18 November 2025, two esteemed faculty members from the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, were invited to present a special lecture at the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS), Korea University.

The invited presenters were Asst. Prof. Dr. Rukchanok Chumnanmak and Asst. Prof. Dr. Panu Suppatkul, who shared their research insights with graduate students and faculty members in Seoul.

“Actor-Networks and Everyday Practice of Urban Flooding in Khon Kaen”

The lecture examined the everyday interactions, policy processes, and actor-networks shaping urban flood management in Khon Kaen City. The session was well received, generating rich discussions on comparative perspectives between Thailand and Korea.

This academic exchange highlights the growing partnership between Khon Kaen University and Korea University under the BK21 Program of Glocal Studies, reinforcing institutional commitment to collaborative research and academic activities.
