HUSO Welcomes Meijo University Students for Language & Cultural Exchange 2023
August 21, 2023 – Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University led by Assoc. Prof. Orathai Pia-ura, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty; Asst. Prof. Prawpan Polbun, Chairperson of the Liberal Art Program in Eastern Languages and Chairperson of the Japanese Language Major; lecturers and personnel in the field of foreign languages welcomed a group of lecturers and students from Meijo University, Japan to the Language and Cultural Exchange Program 2023. The welcoming ceremony took place at the Conference Room 1, HS.05, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University.
Assoc. Prof. Orathai Pia-ura, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University explained that the Language and Cultural Exchange Program for students of Meijo University emerged from the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Faculty and Meijo University, Japan. The responsible department is the Liberal Art Program in Eastern Languages and the Japanese Language Major. The training in Thai language and culture for Meijo University students is aimed at disseminating Thai culture and building an academic network with an overseas university. Moreover, the program is increasing the academic competency and the status of the Japanese program to be more accepted. The training program this year is from August 21 until August 27, 2023.
