HS U2T for BCG: Empowering Gaeng Kae Through Sustainable Development

The HS U2T for BCG project is making a real difference in Gaeng Kae Sub-district, Kosum Phisai District, Maha Sarakham Province. As part of the nationwide U2T (University to Tambon) program, this initiative connects university graduates and students with local communities to drive economic development at the grassroots level. By focusing on the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy model, a national strategy promoting sustainable economic growth, the project empowers residents to build a more prosperous future through sustainable practices.

This project involves activities related to sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, eco-tourism, or waste management, all key components of the BCG model. This could include promoting organic farming practices, developing community-based tourism initiatives, or implementing recycling programs. The emphasis on knowledge sharing and community involvement suggests that the project actively collaborates with local residents, providing training, resources, and support to implement sustainable practices and develop local businesses. The use of technology, including mobile phones, further enhances the project's impact, potentially through mobile apps for data collection, communication, or accessing information related to sustainable practices.


Branding with HS U2T for BCG Project in Jorakhe Sub-district, Nong Ruea District, Khon Kaen Province

The project aims to boost the local economy using the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) model. It focus is on how the team is working to create a unique identity for the village's products. The Faculty incorporated the village's history into their branding by choosing the color pink. This is a direct reference to the village's original name, which translates to "pink" in English. By using this distinctive color, they hope to make their products stand out and be easily recognizable to consumers.

This branding strategy is likely part of a larger effort to develop and market products based on the BCG model which involves developing unique, locally sourced products, improving product packaging and labeling, and creating a marketing strategy. By focusing on branding and product development, the HS U2T for BCG project in Jorakhe is working to create sustainable economic opportunities for the community and promote the unique cultural heritage of the village.


HS U2T for BCG: Empowering Chiang Yuen with Sustainable Products

Another community-based project under the U2T initiative. This time, the focus is on Chiang Yuen Sub-district, Chiang Yuen District, Maha Sarakham Province.

The project shows the collaborative efforts of the project team and the local community. They are working together to develop products and branding strategies based on the BCG Economy model. They discuss ideas and gathering information from the community. Also, they explore various options for product development, with a focus on utilizing local resources and expertise. The overall goal is to create sustainable economic opportunities for the people of Chiang Yuen.


HS U2T for BCG: Boosting Tourism and Products in Dun Sat

The project focuses on developing tourism services for the area's historical and natural attractions. This involves training community members as tour guides and enhancing natural trails with signage to attract more visitors and generate income for the community.

Also, it aims to enhance community products by providing training on branding and marketing, led by experts from Khon Kaen University's Science Park. This includes designing packaging for various local products like fried chili, banana chips, chili paste, riceberry rice, and curry puffs. By improving product presentation and marketing strategies, the project seeks to boost sales, increase income, and reduce unemployment in the community.

These initiatives demonstrate the project's commitment to utilizing local resources and expertise to create sustainable economic opportunities in Dun Sat. By fostering tourism and enhancing local products, the project is helping to build a more prosperous future for the community.


HS U2T for BCG: Promoting Sustainable Agriculture in Ban Lan

This project showcases a workshop held in Ban Lan Sub-district, Ban Phai District, Khon Kaen Province, focusing on organic fertilizer and soil improvement.

During the workshop, experts leads discussions on enhancing soil quality using organic matter, emphasizing the benefits of reducing reliance on expensive chemical fertilizers. They show a practical demonstration of preparing compost or soil mixtures, providing participants with hands-on experience in organic soil management techniques.

This workshop exemplifies the project's dedication to educating and empowering local communities in sustainable agricultural practices. By promoting organic fertilizer and soil improvement methods, the project contributes to a healthier environment and more resilient local agriculture in Ban Lan.


Empowering Pa Por Through Crispy Banana Chips: The "Parn Por" Story

The Pa Por Sub-district in Khon Kaen, Thailand, is home to a vibrant community development project focused on a beloved local treat: crispy banana chips. Under the "BCG" initiative within the University to Tambon (U2T) program, and in partnership with Khon Kaen University and Lampang Rajabhat University, a dedicated team is working to elevate the production and market reach of these delicious snacks. This project aims to empower the community by enhancing a traditional product and creating lasting income opportunities.

This initiative centers around the "Parn Por" brand of crispy banana chips, featuring a distinct product line known as "Caro."  From improving production processes and quality control to crafting eye-catching branding and packaging, every step is carefully considered. The project also emphasizes marketing and distribution strategies to ensure "Parn Por" crispy banana chips reach a wider audience, bringing the taste of Pa Por to more people.

Beyond production and marketing, knowledge sharing plays a vital role.  Workshops, seminars, and training sessions, led by expert speakers, equip community members with the skills and knowledge needed to create high-quality crispy banana chips. These educational opportunities cover everything from the intricate steps of crafting the perfect chip to best practices in business management and marketing. The "Parn Por" project is more than just a snack; it's a testament to the power of community collaboration, sustainable practices, and the delicious potential of crispy banana chips.


HS U2T for BCG: Engaging the Nong No Community

This HS U2T for BCG project's activities runs in Nong No Sub-district, Kranuan District, Khon Kaen Province. The activities focus on promoting sustainable economic development through the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) economy model.

The community members gather together, suggesting active engagement in presentations, training sessions, product development activities, or discussions on integrating BCG principles into local practices. These activities show the importance of community participation and collaboration in driving sustainable economic growth in the region.

This U2T project's efforts to boost the local economy in Huai Chot Sub-district, Kranuan District, Khon Kaen Province, Thailand. In Ban Saen Suk village, they are working with a group that makes bamboo rice boxes. The project is helping them improve their product design and branding to increase sales.

In Ban Na Fai village, they are helping a group that makes products from recycled waste. The project is providing training on online marketing to help them sell their products and make more money.

The overall goal is to use the BCG (Bio-Circular-Green) economic model to create sustainable livelihoods and reduce waste in these communities.


Empowering Young Tour Guides in Huai Yang with English Skills

This special project is conducted in Yang Kham Pittayakom School in Huai Yang Sub-district, Kranuan District, Khon Kaen Province. The goal of this project is to develop tourism services in the area by enhancing the English communication skills of young tour guides. The training likely includes workshops and activities focused on improving English proficiency to better serve tourists visiting the region. This initiative demonstrates a commitment to investing in the future of tourism in Huai Yang and empowering young people to play a key role in its development.
