2. OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM
The Doctor of Philosophy Program in Information Studies (Revised in 2022) aims to produce leaders of change in the academic and information profession with the following qualifications:
2.1 Having profound knowledge and leadership in creating and disseminating new knowledge in holistic information science under the digital environment by integrating information, users, and information technology to apply to the relevant theories and concepts in the field of Information Studies;
2.2 Having intellectual and advanced research skills to create new knowledge in Information Studies that integrate information users and technology to produce quality research results. In addition, the graduates should have leadership skills and social influence to pass on knowledge and technology to friends, leading to innovation or new knowledge competitive advantage, affecting changes, or solving problems in the digital ecosystem, including being recognized nationally and/or internationally;
2.3 Having morals and ethics in research, good governance, and digital intelligence, the ability to adapt to technological changes, and having a consciousness to promote and drive society to create and integrate information, users, and information technology appropriately, leading to the development of society and the nation in the overview.

4. COURSES
For Type 1.1
Mandatory Courses
Type 1.1 students are required to take the dissertation course and other additional non-credit courses of this study program or the Master of Information Science program to enhance knowledgebase under the approval of the Program Administration Committee.
