2. OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM
 

The Master of Information Science program (Revised in 2021) aims to produce graduates who have the following qualifications:

2.1 Have knowledge and ability to manage information and advanced knowledge in the digital ecosystem
2.2 Can create and apply digital technology to manage information and knowledge for modification and development
2.3 Have communication skills, analytical thinking and research skills for problem-solving or the skills to create management works and knowledge in the digital ecosystem
2.4 Having a conscience of ethics and the rules of law, including digital intelligence (DQ), can constantly adapt to changes

For Plan A1

Mandatory Courses
Plan A1 students are required to take and pass the following non-credit course:

For Plan A2 and Plan B

Mandatory Courses
Plan A2 and Plan B students are required to take and pass the following non-credit course:

Specific Courses
Plan A2 students are required to register for at least three (24 credits) of the following courses or additional courses offered later. Plan B students are required to register for at least four courses (32 credits) or other courses offered later.

Thesis Courses
The Thesis course aims for students to research on their topic of interest to acquire skills to enhance knowledge and experience in research studies in the field of Information Science. According to the standard criteria for graduate programs of the university, Plan A1 and A2 students are required to take the designated thesis course.

Independent Study Course
The Independent Study course aims for students to have extensive knowledge and experience in their topic of interest which they can apply it with their career. According to the standard criteria for graduate programs, Plan B students are required to take the following Independent Study course.

Note 1: 3 (3-0-6) = 3 Credits (Theory - Practice - Self-study)
Note 2: * = New course, ** = Revised course
Note 3: Not counted = Non-credit courses must be registered as 'AU' (Auditing)
Note 4: Thesis / Independent Study courses must be registered as 'SU' (Satisfied-Unstatisfied)

5. SAMPLE STUDY PLAN

The courses are open through the academic year. Each set of courses provides at least 120 hours of instruction within ten weeks.
