KKU Humanities and Social Sciences Partners with Khon Kaen Prison for Inmate Skill Development
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Collaborates with Khon Kaen Provincial Prison to Enhance Inmates' Skills and Prepare Them for Reintegration into Society
On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Orathai Piayura, Dean, along with Associate Professor Dr. Wipawee Grisanaputi, Assistant Dean for Research, Academic Affairs, and Personnel, met with Mr. Jak Limbut, Superintendent of Khon Kaen Provincial Prison, to discuss a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The MoU aims to establish cooperation frameworks and activities focused on developing inmates' professional skills. This includes offering programs in Language Teaching, Philosophy, Religion, and Buddhist Teachings. Additionally, the partnership will initiate Co-opperative training to create income-generating opportunities for inmates. This collaboration marks a significant step towards improving the quality of life for inmates by providing them with valuable career skills. The goal is to empower them for successful reintegration into their communities upon release.
