On March 14, 2025, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Orathai Piayura, Dean of the Faculty, along with faculty executives and staff, met with Pol. Col. Thanawat Deeboonmee Na Chumphae, Deputy Commander of Khon Kaen Provincial Police, to discuss academic collaboration between the two institutions.
This collaboration aims to enhance language proficiency among police officers, improving their ability to serve the public, especially in communicating with foreign nationals. Additionally, it includes training programs in professional communication and public relations to ensure accurate and effective dissemination of information.
Another key focus is cybersecurity training, which will provide knowledge on preventing technology-related threats. The initiative seeks to educate personnel, students, and the general public on tackling cybercrime, digital fraud, and personal data protection, reducing the risk of falling victim to online scams.
The discussions between the two institutions are expected to lead to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which will serve as a foundation for proactive projects that benefit the public. This partnership also aims to contribute to long-term societal development through education and the promotion of practical knowledge, enhancing public safety and well being.
In addition, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences extended their congratulations to Pol. Col. Thanawat Deeboonmee Na Chumphae on his new appointment by giving a flower arrangement as a token of appreciation.
