Associate Professor Dr. Orathai Piayura Receives the Prestigious “Woman of Value” Award for Contributions to Society and the Nation on International Women's Day 2025
On March 8, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Orathai Piayura, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, along with the university's executive committees, attended the International Women’s Day 2025 event under the theme “Three Decades of the Beijing Declaration: Opportunities and Challenges Towards Gender Equality for Women and Girls.” The event was organized by the Department of Women's Affairs and Family Development, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, and held at the Pakkorn Angsusingh Conference Room, 2nd floor, Social Development and Welfare Department Building, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, Bangkok.
The event featured a ceremony to honor individuals who have played significant roles in promoting gender equality and social development. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, who presented the honorary awards to the distinguished recipients.
On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Orathai Piayura, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, was selected to receive the special honor “Woman of Value” award for her contributions to society and the nation. This award is given to women who have dedicated themselves to advancing people, communities, and society, particularly in education and community development.
