KKU Alumni of Humanities and Social Sciences Won Three National Research Awards for 2025, and Received Royal Awards from Princess Sirindhorn
On February 2, 2025, graduate alumni from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, received honorary certificates from Princess Sirindhorn. This was for receiving the National Research Award for 2025 at the "Inventor's Day 2025" event, held under the concept "Thai Inventions and Innovations: The Country's Challenges" by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation at BITEC Bangna.
The National Research Awards ceremony for 2025 was held to honor Thai researchers and inventors who created research works, inventions, and innovations that were beneficial to the country's development. It also promoted research and development in various fields, including science, technology, humanities, and social sciences, focusing on raising potential and enhancing capabilities in producing quality work.
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, received the National Research Award for 2025 as follows:
"Good Level" Dissertation Award (2 persons):

Dr. Nattawat Uraiamphai, Doctor of Philosophy Program, Department of Sociology, for the dissertation on "Social Practices and Utilization of Capitals of Isan Return Migrants Working Abroad," advised by Professor Dr. Dusadee Ayuwat and Associate Professor Dr. Aree Jumpaklay.

Dr. Rasita Dasri, Doctor of Philosophy Program, Department of Development Studies, for the dissertation on "Model Development for Green Urbanization with Urban Actor Network," advised by Associate Professor Dr. Thanapruk Chamarat.
"NRCT Quality Achievement Award" in the Dissertation category (1 person):
- Dr. Suvimon Khamnoi, Doctor of Philosophy Program, Department of Sociology, for the dissertation on "Social Practices of Women Left behind among International Migrants in Northeaste Region of Thailand," advised by Professor Dr. Dusadee Ayuwat.
The outstanding dissertation work of all three individuals not only brought fame to Khon Kaen University but also raised the level of research in humanities and social sciences to the international level, reflecting their dedication and expertise in creating research that truly meets the needs of Thai social development.
