B.A. English and M.A. Applied Linguistics Programmes (KKU) Collaborate with Chiang Mai University (CMU)
The administrative committees of the Bachelor of Arts Programme in English and the Master of Arts Programme in Applied Linguistics, English Language Department, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University welcomed faculty members from the Department of English, Faculty of Humanities, Chiang Mai University at Faculty Board Meeting Room, 4th floor, Rattanapittaya Building. The visit aimed to foster knowledge exchange and share experiences in curriculum design and development between the two institutions.

On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr Sukhum Wasuntarasophit, Head of the English Language Department, gave a welcome remark and led discussions on best practices in curriculum development. The exchange focused on enhancing curriculum quality, ensuring relevance to contemporary educational needs, and aligning programmes with the Thailand Qualifications Framework for Higher Education as well as international standards in order to better prepare students for global competitiveness.

Such collaboration is expected to contribute to the establishment of a strong and sustainable Professional Learning Community (PLC), in line with national policies promoting academic cooperation among higher education institutions, as well as ongoing curriculum improvement aimed at enhancing educational quality and graduates’ potential in the global arena.

The activity also provided an important opportunity to strengthen academic collaboration networks between faculty members and personnel from both institutions.
