The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, organized the 20th International Conference on Humanities and Social Sciences (IC-HUSO 2026) from 7-8 January 2026 at the Pullman Khon Kaen Raja Orchid Hotel. This landmark conference marked two decades of sustained efforts to advance international academic networks and aligned with KKU’s vision of becoming a World-Leading Research and Development University.

The official opening ceremony, held on Thursday, 8 January 2026, was presided over by Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee, Chairman of the Khon Kaen University Council. Associate Professor Dr. Orathai Piayura, Dean of HUSO, delivered the opening report. This was followed by a visionary keynote lecture entitled “Asian Civilization: Unifying Forces in an Era of Global Fragmentation” by Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee, highlighting Asian wisdom as a driving force for regional cooperation and sustainable development.

The conference also hosted a strategic academic panel on “Student-Centered Learning: Policy, Practice and Possibilities,” delivered by Professor Dr. Martin Seeger (Professor of Thai Studies, University of Leeds, UK) and moderated by Dr. Nathatai Manadee. In the afternoon sessions, 148 research papers were presented by scholars from nine countries across 14 diverse parallel tracks, showcasing HUSO's commitment to research quality and global impact.

孔敬大学人文与社会科学学院于2026年1月7日至8日在孔敬 Pullman Raja Orchid 酒店成功举办了第20届国际人文与社会科学学术会议（IC-HUSO 2026）。本次会议是学院持续推动人文与社会科学领域国际学术合作网络发展的20周年重要里程碑，同时也高度契合孔敬大学迈向“世界领先研究与发展型大学”的发展愿景。

大会开幕式于2026年1月8日正式举行，荣幸邀请到孔敬大学理事会主席 Narongchai Akrasanee 博士主持开幕仪式。孔敬大学人文与社会科学学院院长 Orathai Piayura 副教授博士致开幕报告。随后，Narongchai 博士发表了题为 “全球碎片化时代中的亚洲文明：凝聚力量” 的主旨演讲，强调了亚洲文明价值在推动跨文化理解及应对当今世界不平等问题方面的重要作用。

大会期间，由英国利兹大学泰国研究教授 Martin Seeger 博士主讲、Nathatai Manadee 博士主持的 “以学生为中心的学习：政策、实践与可能性” 论坛顺利开展。在下午场次中，来自9个国家的学者在平行分论坛中共发表了148篇学术论文，广泛涵盖社会科学、语言文化、人工智能等主题。IC-HUSO 2026 的成功举办，充分展现了学院在迈向“世界领先人文与社会科学学院”进程中的宏伟学术抱负。
