English Report

The English Major Program, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (HUSO), Khon Kaen University (KKU), recently launched the “English Access Scholarship Khon Kaen University” (2nd Generation) program in collaboration with the United States Department of State.

On 16 May 2025, the opening ceremony took place at Meeting Room 3, HS.05 Building. The event was honored by Mr. Eran Williams, Director of the Regional English Language Office (RELO), U.S. Embassy Bangkok, who delivered the opening remarks. Assistant Professor Dr. Dararat Khampusaen, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, delivered the welcome speech, and Assistant Professor Dr. Phiphawin Suphawat Srikai, Project Head, presented the project report.

Funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) through RELO Bangkok, the program aims to enhance language proficiency, leadership, and 21st-century skills for 40 potential but under-resourced middle school students from six local schools. The program runs every Saturday from March 2026 to June 2027 under HUSO supervision.

孔敬大学人文与社会科学学院英语专业联合美国国务院（United States Department of State），举办了第二届“孔敬大学英语能力提升奖学金” (English Access Scholarship) 项目。

2025年5月16日，项目开幕式在 HS.05 大楼第三会议室圆满举行。开幕式荣幸邀请到美国驻曼谷大使馆区域英语语言办公室 (RELO) 主任 Eran Williams 先生致开幕词。国际事务助理院长 Dararat Khampusaen 助理教授博士致欢迎辞，项目负责人 Phiphawin Suphawat Srikai 助理教授博士向大会汇报项目筹备情况。

该项目获得美国教育与文化事务局 (ECA) 及美国国务院的支持，通过 RELO 曼谷办公室实施，旨在全面提升孔敬地区具备潜力但缺乏教育机会的40名中学生的英语能力、社交与21世纪核心技能。本项目将在2026年3月至2027年6月期间的每周六持续开展，由学院师生共同指导。
