On 21 November 2025, Khon Kaen University administrators presented awards to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences for its outstanding participation in the Sithan International Festival 2025.

2nd Runner-up: Festival Parade Competition (20,000 THB)
1st Runner-up: Grand Krathong Decorative Beauty (10,000 THB)
Winner: Elegant Costume Award - KKU Carnival (10,000 THB)

The awards were received by Assistant Professor Dr. Marasri Sorthip, representing the collective efforts of HUSO students and staff.
