The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (HUSO) at Khon Kaen University (KKU) hosted a high-level delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University (USSH-VNU), to reinforce long-standing ties and expand academic cooperation. The KKU delegation, led by Associate Professor Dr Orathai Piayura, was joined by faculty executives and faculty members. They extended a warm welcome to the USSH-VNU delegation, headed by Professor Dr Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector.

 

Key Areas of Collaboration

1. Strengthening exchange programmes to foster cross-cultural research and diverse learning environments.
2. Promoting and developing Thai Studies curricula specifically tailored for Vietnamese students and the general public.
3. Establishing frameworks for Thai language competency testing for Vietnamese citizens and other international learners.

This meeting marks a significant step in elevating the standard of Thai language education on an international scale.
By formalising assessment methods and expanding exchange opportunities, both universities are committed to a sustainable educational partnership that bridges the cultural and academic gap between Thailand and Vietnam.
