On December 24, 2025, the HUSO Language Center (HUSOLC) at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, hosted its "New Year Celebration 2025." The event was officially opened by Asst. Prof. Dr. Benyatip Suphakalin, Director of HUSOLC, at the Rattanapittaya Building.
The celebration was organized with the primary objective of enhancing cross-cultural understanding and integrating international students into the Thai way of life. By focusing on "edutainment," the event provided a platform for students to learn Thai culinary techniques by engaging in hands-on preparation of signature dishes, including "Som Tam", "Larb", and "Mango Sticky Rice". Also, the workshop integrated practical Thai vocabulary, allowing students to apply their language skills in real-world culinary settings. The festivities concluded with a gift exchange.
