February 5–6, 2026 (Bangkok Time, UTC+7) Khon Kaen University is pleased to co-host the International Workshop on Glocal Issues 2026 together with the BK21 Program of Glocal Studies, Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS), Korea University. This international workshop brings together scholars, researchers, and graduate students from different countries to explore “Glocal Issues in a Fragmented World and Glocal Conflict Management for an Inclusive Society.” The workshop aims to foster academic exchange and dialogue on how global and local dynamics intersect in shaping contemporary social, political, and economic challenges. Co-hosted by BK21 Program of Glocal Studies, GSIS, Korea University MA & PhD Sociology Program and PhD Development Science Program Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University.

Day 1 – February 5, 2026 Joint Workshop between Korea University and Khon Kaen University • Graduate student presentations ● Faculty discussants from both universities • Online session with invited international scholars
Day 2 – February 6, 2026 ● Visit to the Mekong Institute • Cultural visits in Khon Kaen The workshop serves as a platform for presenting research, exchanging ideas, and strengthening international academic collaboration, with a focus on glocal perspectives and inclusive approaches to conflict management in today’s fragmented world.
