U.S. Embassy Bangkok visited HUSO, KKU
November 10, 2020 U.S. Embassy Bangkok visited the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University
Assoc. Prof. Dr Orathai Piayura, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and its administrators, gave a very welcome to delegates from the U.S. Embassy Bangkok namely Ms Kanchalee Kelly Jitjang, Senior Cultural Specialist, and Ms Laila Bunnag, Cultural Affairs Specialist. The aims of the visit were 1) to strengthen the relationship between the U.S. Embassy and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, 2) to present the potential activities undergoing the Cultural Affairs Office of the U.S. Embassy and 3) to offer opportunities for both KKU students and academic staff members through the grants, collaborations, and scholarships, etc. Several associations were addressed such as AFCP, Music, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Film Diplomacy, Speaker Program, Embassy Speakers Program, Education USA Thailand, Exchange Program, IVLP, YSEALI, Indo-Pacific Outreach, etc. Both parties had presented the token of appreciation and taken a group photo, in which it was a good signal for the upcoming projects.
