2. OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM

The Master of Arts in Thai (Revised in 2022) aims to produce graduates with the following qualifications:

(1) Profoundly understand the concepts, principles, and theories that are related to the Thai language and literature

(2) Have a critical thinking ability to integrate the knowledge of the Thai language and literature with Isan society

(3) Can analyze, synthesize, and effectively apply communication and information technology knowledge for Thai language and literature research

(4) Have morality, professional ethics, and responsibility to themselves and society

6. QUALIFICATION

6.1 Be qualified according to Khon Kaen University regulations year 2016, Section 5, Item 21.2, or under the later revised Khon Kaen University regulations

6.2 Hold a Bachelor's degree in the Thai Language or other related fields of study, including the Thai Language for Communication, Thai Language and Literature, Thai Literature, Thai Language Teaching, Thai Linguistics, Thai Language and Culture, Thai As A Foreign Language, Thai Translation, or other fields of study according to the discretion of the Program Administrative Committee

6.3 International students are required to have Thai language proficiency following the criteria set by the Program Administrative Committee

6.4 In case the qualifications do not follow items 7.2 and 7.3, the Program Administration Committee will give the final discretion
