Gearing Up for the "Vietnam Studies Centre" Launch
HUSO KKU Advances Strategic Discussions with the Vietnamese Consulate-General for Late August Launch
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Khon Kaen University (HUSO KKU), led by Associate Professor Dr. Orathai Piayura, Dean, alongside Assistant Professor Dr. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, recently met with Mr. Dinh Hoang Linh, Consul General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Khon Kaen. The high-level meeting aimed to report on progress and finalise essential preparations for the upcoming establishment of the Faculty's "Vietnam Studies Centre".

This session served as a follow-up discussion to run through the schedule and details of the official inauguration ceremony, which is slated for late August. A major highlight of the upcoming event, in addition to the official unveiling of the Centre, will be the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between HUSO KKU and three leading Vietnamese universities: the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU USSH); National Economics University, Hanoi; and Hung Vuong University.
Fostering Academic & Cultural Exchange
On this occasion, both parties jointly reviewed the structural layout and floor plan of the Centre, and discussed avenues for providing Vietnamese educational materials and resources, ensuring the Cen
tre is fully equipped to serve as a premier hub for Vietnamese language and cultural learning for students and the wider community in the Northeast region.

Khon Kaen University and the Consulate-General of Vietnam share a profound commitment to propelling the Vietnam Studies Centre into a vital bridge that fosters bilateral enduring academic, cultural, and cooperative ties between Thailand and Vietnam.
