The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Orathai Piayura, Dean, organized the “UKind Scholarship to the UK” Program to provide 13 representative students from 13 undergraduate programs with exceptional educational opportunities at the University of Leeds.

From April 27th, 2026 to May 8th, 2026, the students engaged in an immersive two-week English language and cultural learning program at the Language Centre of the University of Leeds.

Organized under a formal Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), this program aims to foster advanced English proficiency, cultural exchange, and global adaptability essential to their future careers. On completion, students were honored to receive certificates from Professor Emma Cayley, Head of the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies.

Additionally, students participated in the “Exchange and Personal Development through Dharmic Principles” initiative at Wat Buddharam Leeds. This segment was graciously supported by His Eminence Phra Brahmasiddhi, Abbot of Wat Saket, project chairperson, alongside Phra Khru Sirithammapratip, Abbot of Wat Buddharam Leeds, served as Chairperson for the United Kingdom operations, while Associate Professor Dr. Orathai Piayura, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, served as Chairperson for the Thailand operations..

孔敬大学人文与社会科学学院在院长 Orathai Piayura 副教授博士的带领下，成功举办了 “UKind Scholarship to the UK” 奖学金项目。该项目为来自 13 个本科专业的 13 名学生代表提供了赴英国利兹大学（University of Leeds）进行国际化学习与教育交流的宝贵契机。

在 2026 年 4 月 27 日至 5 月 8 日期间，学生们在目前 在利兹大学语言中心（Language Centre）完成了为期两周的英语语言与文化课程。

此项目是在两校签署的合作协议（MOA）框架下实施的，旨在提高学生的英语实践能力，并培养其在多元文化环境中的适应力与国际化视野。结业当天，利兹大学语言、文化与社会学院院长 Emma Cayley 教授携教师团队亲切接见了学生，并亲自为他们颁发了结业证书。

此外，学生代表们还前往英国利兹佛寺（Wat Buddharam Leeds）参加了“佛法原则下的交流与个人发展”主题活动。该活动获得了泰国僧伽最高理事会成员、金山寺住持 Phra Brahmasiddhi 大长老的慈悲支持并担任项目主席。利兹佛寺住持 Phra Khru Sirithammapratip 担任英国方负责人，Orathai Piayura 院长则担任泰国方负责人。活动中，Phra Brahmasiddhi 大长老慈悲地向完成项目的学子颁发了功德结业证书以资鼓励。
